What Is a Payment Provider?

A payment provider is a trusted third-party service that securely handles payments on behalf of your club.

When someone pays your club through Klubfunder, the payment does not go directly to Klubfunder.
Instead, it is processed by a regulated payment provider such as Stripe, GoCardless, or SumUp.

Payment providers are responsible for:

• Safely handling card or bank details
• Confirming that payments are successful
• Paying collected funds into your club’s bank account
• Meeting banking, security, and fraud-prevention regulations

Klubfunder connects to these providers so your club can collect payments without needing to manage sensitive financial information itself.
